The sink was one of Pom’s favorite hangouts, she was totally oblivious of it being wet or not, she liked the sink, and that’s where she was going to relax!

This aquarelle has been painted to celebrate our successful rally to collect the money needed to bring a dear friend’s cats back to her.
Carol had to leave her cats behind as she and her husband left Riyad for Houston to continue his cancer treatment. Carol is now battling her own cancer and she misses her cats very much.
Over a period of three days we managed to get the funds together to bring her her old friends, and of course many people in America and Saudi Arabia have put in lots of work to get the cats the chips, vaccinations and travel papers they need.
I was planning to made a small pencil sketch (I did those late at night) to update people on how far we got. In the end only three days sufficed and I made only two sketches.
As we succeeded in collecting the money needed I celebrated with this sketch, which is used to illustrate the post announcing our success.
The two cats, Tripod and Saheeba will arrive in America next Saturday!

Pom
So I haven’t been home a lot lately… I have been two weekends in Amsterdam staying with a friend, and visiting another friend, M.
M has a totally cute and mega-intelligent and talented daughter. She is 6 years old and makes beautiful photographs. She let me upload some on my computer and I willl be using some of them for paintings. So this is the cat Pom. She is really very cute, but there was this funny photo…. Which just begged to be converted in a funny portrait 
I went all bold and graphic, instead of my usual attention to detail. I am really enjoying myself experimenting with these small paintings!

The Qatteri Cat as the Demon Cat from the ninth circle of hell.
This painting was inspired by this witty post about the Qatteri Cat.
I immediately got a vision in my head when I read the post and saw the picture of the Qatteri Cat she put up. The Qatteri Cat is cool and very sweet. Just to make that clear.
It’s so nice to have visions and be able to paint them right away.
